Nurture Through Nature Counseling
The world is incredibly demanding. Experiencing it deeply takes a massive, unseen toll, leaving us exhausted.
I use grounding nature therapy and Telehealth to meet you where you are most comfortable, supporting you in finding your own rhythm and settling into deep acceptance.
You are no longer interested in “pushing through” pretending everything is fine
If your mind feels constantly overloaded, you might notice:
Hitting a sudden wall of burnout after a period of over-functioning or trying to keep up with everything you believe you “should” be doing.
Feeling completely paralyzed by simple steps. Spending hours frozen and unable to begin, trapped in cycles of scrolling, spacing out, or being distracted by something less important while your brain berates you for not just getting up.
Rest never actually feels rejuvenating. You might physically sit down to relax, but your mind keeps spinning with internal noise and worry spirals, leaving you just as stressed and drained.
Feeling depleted by maintaining relationships. Finding that social interactions take so much internal masking and boundary-crossing that they end up feeling like an obligation rather than a source of joy.
Navigating sudden emotional spikes without words to explain them. Wanting desperately to articulate what is bother you, but feeling so flooded in the moment that your words vanish, leaving you feeling misunderstood or stuck.
What if the answer isn’t continuing to try harder? What if we can design a path that supports your unique nervous system?
How I Offer Support
Therapy with me balances a calming, grounded environment with the honest, supportive challenges needed for real growth. I structure my practice to work with your nervous system, offering support through:
Walking Side-by-Side in Nature: We take our sessions outside on casual trails in Bloomington. I choose locations that are accessible and offer options for gentle movement or quiet sitting. Moving outdoors removes the intense pressure of forced eye contact, provides a natural outlet for restless physical energy, and allows the grounding sounds of nature to calm your mind and nervous system.
Low-Friction Telehealth: If stepping onto a trail feels like too much energy or not possible due to distance, we meet virtually across Indiana and New Mexico. This offers a safe, high-comfort option where you can log in from your favorite room, wrap up in a blanket, and show up exactly as you are.
Mindful Acceptance: We practice opening up space around yoru racing thoughts. Instead of burning your limited energy fighting against worry loops or internal noise, we use mindfulness to help your mind settle, allowing you to choose actions that actually align with your values.
Navigating Anxiety Gently: We work together to untangle the intense “what-if” loops that fuel anxiety and perfectionsim. Instead of pushing you past your limits, we work at a collaborative pace, learning how to tolerate uncomfortable thoughts without hitting a sudden wall of burnout.
A Complete Pressure-Free Space: You don’t need to mask, perform, or pretend to have it all together here. Every session is paced entirely around your comfort, focused not on “fixing” who you are, but on helping you settle into deep self-acceptance.

Owner and Therapist
I have always felt most like myself when I am out in nature, leaning into the slower, more intentional parts of life. As a nature lover at heart and find immense regulation and joy in being outdoors—hiking, swimming, or simply stepping away from the collective noise for a while. In my own life, I value a balance of adventure and stillness—I love the spark of exploring new places, but I also protect plenty of space to just exist without an agenda.
Because this is how I find my own footing, it is exactly how I show up as a therapist. I don’t sit behind a clinical script or think I know what’s best for you. I act as a collaborative, down-to-earth partner rather than a rigid authority, helping you make sense of your lived experience.

I currently accept CareSource Marketplace. For all other providers, I am an out-of-network provider. Choosing not to panel with large insurance companies allows me to spend my time focusing directly on your care rather than billing paperwork.
Protecting your privacy: Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to cover sessions, which becomes part of your medical record. Private pay allows us to talk and explore freely without a mandatory label that may create future barriers regarding employment, schooling, housing, or adequate health insurance coverage.
Out-Of-Network Reimbursement: I partner with Mentaya to automatically submit out-of-network claims for you
-
Possibly!
I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.
You can also call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Does my plan cover outpatient mental health therapy? (If they ask for codes, common billing codes are 90837 and 90834).
If yes, how many sessions are allowed?
If no, do I have out-of-network benefits?
Do I have a deductible to meet before insurance starts covering or sharing costs?
If yes, how much is my deductible and how much have I met already?
What is covered after the deductible is met?
Do I have a co-pay for outpatient mental health counseling?
Be sure to record the representative's name and a reference number in the event that you would need to dispute a rejected claim.

My philosophy is that experiencing nature in all its seasons can be deeply therapeutic, so we generally meet rain or shine. However, your safety and sensory comfort always come first.
Dangerous Weather: If there is lightning, extreme heat/cold, or active severe warnings, we will cancel or reschedule.
Inclement Weather & Comfort: If the forecast looks miserable or too sensory-overwhelming for you, we can absolutely move our session to a virtual Telehealth format. Because I dedicate specific days entirely to outdoor sessions and others to virtual sessions, a pivot to Telehealth will mean rescheduling to. a different day or time that same week.
The 24-Hour Policy: To protect the structure of my practice, my standard 24-hour cancellation policy still applies. If you need to shift from a nature session to a virtual session due to the weather, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so we can safely find a new virtual spot for you that week without a cancellation fee.
